    Teacher of the Year

    GHS’s Sonic Boom Show Choir placed 3rd in the Novice Mixed Division at the Burbank Blast. The group also took home the award for Best Show! There are 16 students in Sonic Boom and they competed against groups of 40+ students. Sonic Boom then competed at the Los Alamitos Xtravaganza and won third place and Best Show AGAIN! You can check out our award-winning choir at the AUSD District Choral Festival held at Azusa High on March 22 at 7pm. Come check them out!

    On March 5th, twenty-two Gladstone High School female student-athletes attended the 5th Annual Foothill Citrus Athletic Director's Association Women in Sports Conference, held at University of La Verne. The conference theme was "Girls Got Game" and was attended by approximately 750 female student athletes from the surrounding area high schools. The conference highlights included several top female student-athlete speakers, including Team USA Softball member, Sahvannah Jaquish. The day also included a tour of the University of La Verne.

    Each year, Azusa Unified Management Association hosts a speech contest. This year's theme centered around leadership and making the little things count. GHS had 4 participants: Eduardo Lopez, Paul Torres, Ayerim Borja, Isbela Iribe. Ayerim placed 3rd and Eduardo placed 2nd. Great job Glads!

    Student of the Month

    Carlos Enis and Darlene Gonzalez were selected as Covina Lions Club Student of the Month. Both have excelled academically and have served their schools and communities through various clubs and service opportunities. Carlos has plans to be in the Marine Reserves for a year and then attend UNLV and Darlene plans to major in Business at Mt. Sac, Citrus or UC Santa Cruz. Congrats to these two!

    Please be prepared to show your identification when picking up your child from school. Our goal is to ensure the safety of all students and their families.
